Folder backup software reddit8/7/2023 ![]() ![]() The script will display the title ID and put in the Game Title field in the grid for anything it can't find. That being said, until I come up with a better way to scrape all the game names from somewhere, I've included a workaround for those titles. However it does this no matter what I add, even if it's just a space or capitalizing the first letter of 1 single word. I created an account on the wiki and attempted to add some of the missing titles but the site won't let me save anything, saying I'm probably posting spam. The only issue I've ran into is that while the wiki does have a ton of TitleID 's listed, it's still missing quite a few of what I'd consider to be fairly popular games. ![]() This step also removes any invalid characters from the game name that the file system may not like, such as Colon ( : ) Quotes ( " ), etc. The main folder will be the name of the game and backup date and inside that folder will be the save game folder. ![]() Once selected, all game saves will be backed up to that folder location. The default location is the My Documents Folder. Once all backups are selected, another explorer window will pop up asking you for the destination folder. You can backup one folder or multiple folders by separating the selections with a comma (, ). From there you can type the number corresponding to the save game you want to backup. Once it's resolved all the game names, it will then display them in a numbered grid showing the TitleID of the game and the game name in the next column. Some of the game names on the wiki were actual hyperlinks to the game info, causing the script to display the hyperlink instead of the game name so the script will scrape the game name out of the URL and display the name properly. A status bar will be displayed during this process but it's pretty quick. Once you select the folder, the script will load the folder names (which are the ProgramID for the game), then use those folder names to scrape the name of the game from : Title list - Nintendo Switch Brew. The actual folder name they're created in is randomly generated but the window will default to one folder up ( C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\yuzu\nand\user\save\0000000000000000 ) so you only have to navigate one folder in the tree when the windows pops up. When run, the script will open a file explorer window asking you to pick your yuzu save game location. I've been testing it for about a week and it seems to work pretty well. I saw a lot of posts about people wanting or needing to backup their Yuzu game saves and I know it's a bit of a pain due to the folder structure and all so I wrote a powershell scrip that makes things a lot easier for y'all. ![]()
